How Anonystory checks public Instagram content
Anonystory is designed around a narrow workflow: enter a public username, check public availability, and return public media or a clear unavailable state. The process does not require your Instagram account.

Use the profile username only. You do not need to paste a password, recovery code, cookie, or account token.
Check public availability
The viewer checks whether the profile has supported public content available right now.
Return a clear result
The result may be public media, private profile, no active story, not found, unsupported content, or temporary error.
View in the browser
When public media is available, it displays in the browser without installing a mobile app or extension.

An honest public viewer must be able to stop.

Why no-login matters
A signed-in Instagram view can be associated with the signed-in account. A no-login public lookup does not use your Instagram session, so it avoids the password and account-access risk that appears on unsafe viewer sites. The website may still receive normal request data, which is why the privacy policy explains operational logs, analytics, ads, and contact options.
What the viewer does not store as a feature
The product is designed for immediate public lookup, not account tracking.
There is no Instagram login flow here, so Anonystory does not store a username/password pair for your account.
Private stories, Close Friends stories, DMs, and follower-approved media are not collected or archived by the viewer.
The tool cannot add, remove, or edit names in another creator's Instagram viewer list.
Public media can expire, disappear, or become unavailable when the creator changes the account or story state.

Does Anonystory log in to Instagram for me?
No. The public viewer does not ask for your Instagram login, password, two-factor code, session cookie, or account connection.
Why does the tool need only a username?
A public username is enough to check public availability. If the account or media is private, the viewer should return an unavailable state.
Does an unavailable state mean the website is broken?
Not always. It can mean no active story, private profile, expired media, username mismatch, or a temporary request error.
Can public viewing change Instagram privacy settings?
No. A public viewer cannot approve follows, reveal Close Friends content, open DMs, or change who can see a private story.
